StarKids in America: Pennsylvania Workbook combines entertainent and comprehensive learning with over 50 activities narrated by the characters. Each chapter corresponds with the same chapter in the StarKids in America: Pennsylvania.
Students will develop reading comprehension and critical thinking skills by finding themes and central ideas, distinguishing between facts and opinion, analyzing characters, and supporting their answers to understand-based questions with evidence from the text.
Students will also practice sequencing events, analyzing causes and effect relationships, and making predictions based on the storylines.
The workbook encourages critical thinking, promotes vocabulary development, and is aligned to the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts (4th and 5th grade).
